4‑Ton Guide Rail Lift|400mm Shallow Pit, 9.3m Travel|Dual Units for Chemical Fiber Plant

POSTED: 6/2/2026

Overview

In the chemical fiber production process, raw materials (polyester chips, recycled material, etc.) and finished goods (polyester yarn, nylon yarn, etc.) need frequent vertical transport between floors, with large single‑batch weights. This project supports a new warehouse – long‑term use for moving stock, short‑term use for moving equipment and raw materials during the construction phase.

Project type: Guide rail hydraulic lift (2:1 speed ratio)
Client: Jiaxing Fuda Chemical Fiber Factory (chemical fiber industry)
Industry: Chemical fiber production & warehouse logistics
Key features: 4‑ton heavy load, 9.3m travel, 400mm shallow pit, 2:1 speed hydraulics, dual units sharing same pit

Client & Requirements

  • Heavy loads: Raw materials are often pellets or bobbins; a single pallet can weigh 1‑2 tons. A 4‑ton capacity enables efficient batch handling.
  • High travel: The new warehouse has high ceilings; goods must be lifted from ground to second floor (about 6m height). With the pit, total travel is 9.3m.
  • High frequency: Daily warehouse throughput is high, requiring fast, reliable lift operation and interlocked roller doors for safety.
  • Shallow pit constraint: The civil work has already provided a pit only 400mm deep (conventional 4‑ton lifts need 600‑800mm). A speed multiplication system is essential.

Solution

Speed Hydraulic System: 400mm shallow pit achieves 9.3m travel

Use a 2:1 speed hydraulic system (chain + pulley multiplier). Cylinder specification Φ80‑60 × 2 units. Actual cylinder stroke about 4.65m, multiplied 2× by chain/pulley system to lift the platform 9.3m. The cylinders stand vertically in the 400mm deep pit – only the cylinder bottom and connections need to be accommodated.

Advantage: Achieves long travel from a very shallow pit, using the existing pit without costly re‑excavation.

4‑Ton heavy‑duty structural design

  • Load capacity: 4,000 kg
  • Platform size: 3,200×1,800 mm (large platform to fit chemical fiber pallets and bobbins)
  • Structure: 2 cylinders + 4 guide rails; guide rails 125×125H (heavy duty); platform frame 160×80×3.5mm; lifting cross beam 160×80×4mm; lifting frame 120×60×4mm
  • Drive: Power unit 5.5kW; chain 1244; wire rope 14mm (reinforced)
  • Platform deck: 4.5mm thick steel plate (wear‑resistant, impact‑resistant)

Advantage: 4‑ton capacity handles batch transport of chemical fiber materials; large platform accommodates various pallet sizes; 2‑cylinder 4‑rail design ensures stability even under eccentric loads.

Dual units side‑by‑side sharing one pit

  • Each lift has its own guide rails, cylinders, drive and control system.
  • Cylinders and hydraulic pipes are arranged within the pit with safe clearance between the two units.
  • On‑site installation uses alignment fixtures to ensure identical levelling and verticality.

Advantage: Saves floor space, reduces overall civil work cost, and suits the new warehouse‘s efficient layout.

Extended guide rails & segmented shipping

Guide rails are cut to transportable lengths and assembled on site. The guide frame is welded to the platform; each guide rail is positioned 250mm inside the platform edges to avoid interference.

Advantage: Meets the high door opening requirement while solving the logistics problem of extra‑long parts.

FAQ

No. Each lift has independent guide rails, cylinders, drive system and PLC control. They share the pit but operate separately. Alignment fixtures ensure identical levelling and verticality, with safe clearance between the two units.

Yes. The 2‑cylinder, 4‑rail design uses heavy‑duty 125×125H guide rails, a 160×80×3.5mm platform frame and a 160×80×4mm lifting cross beam. Dual cylinders are synchronised to keep the platform level even under eccentric loads.

Door‑lift interlock: platform cannot move unless all doors are closed; doors cannot open unless the platform is correctly landed.

Mechanical anti‑fall pushers: four pushers extend at landing to lock the carriage – prevents dropping even if hydraulic pressure is lost.

2m high steel mesh guardrails on three sides.

PLC fault alarm: automatic stop and fault code display.

Suitable for heavy‑load vertical handling in chemical fiber, plastic, paper and warehousing industries – especially for new warehouses with shallow pits and high travel. Delivery took about 36 days (including New Year holiday). Fast turnaround available.
