Customer Needs

France’s growing vehicle fleet drives strong demand for heavy‑duty lifting equipment in the repair market. The client needed a large platform that can lift vehicles and prepare tools simultaneously, with the following requirements:

  • 600mm ultra‑low closed height, pit‑installed (pit depth 600mm) for ramp‑free vehicle entry
  • Different platform sizes (lower 2600×5900mm / upper 2900×6200mm), each deck rated 4,000kg
  • 3,000mm lifting height, 2 stops
  • Left‑rear column offset to facilitate vehicle access, plus a 3‑metre access ladder
  • Must fit into a 20GP container for sea freight, colour matt black, CE certified

Solution

To solve “shallow pit + ultra‑high travel + multi‑floor interlock”, we provided a triple‑speed hydraulics + shallow pit + fully interlocked safety package:

  • Triple‑speed chain multiplier reduces cylinder stroke to 4.7m, fitting perfectly into the 500mm pit – eliminates deep excavation.
  • Three high‑speed roller doors are electrically interlocked with the lift – door open = power cut; all doors closed = lift can run.
  • Full‑height guardrails + mechanical fall arrest device protect personnel, loads and equipment.

Design‑to‑shipment took only 20 days, with zero production downtime.

FAQ

Lower platform: 2600×5900mm, upper platform: 2900×6200mm. The larger upper deck is designed to hold the vehicle being repaired. The extra width and length of the lower deck provide space to place tools, spare parts or even a forklift for heavy loading. Each deck is rated at 4,000kg – total 8,000kg. This allows two passenger cars or one full‑size SUV plus a parts cart to be lifted simultaneously.

Vehicle weight is rarely perfectly centred (e.g. front‑engine cars are nose‑heavy). Our solution uses twin hydraulic cylinders (Φ140×2) with a synchronised system, a 7.5kW power unit and φ27 hoses to ensure equal thrust on both sides. The scissor arms are made of J300×150×8 heavy‑section steel, and the base frame is reinforced with 25# channel. Even when the vehicle is parked significantly off‑centre, the platform remains stable and does not tilt during lifting.

The internal length of a 20GP container is only 5,860mm, while the upper platform is 6,200mm long and the lower platform 5,900mm.

Direct loading is impossible. We cut both platforms into segments along the length, connect the segments with high‑strength bolts, pre‑assemble everything in the factory to verify fit, then disassemble and pack into the container.

The arms, cylinders, bearings and other components are arranged efficiently inside the container. This saves approximately USD 1,500‑2,000 per unit in sea freight, avoiding the need to upgrade to a 40HQ container.

Vehicle lifts are classified as dangerous machinery under EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC Annex IV and require a Notified Body for certification. The harmonised standard is EN 1493:2022. Guanding provides:

  • 3D general assembly drawing and electrical schematic
  • Safety risk assessment report
  • CE certificates for key components (cylinders, power unit, electrical parts, etc.)
  • Complete technical documentation in English

These documents can be used directly for CE certification in France and for customs clearance, significantly reducing the client’s compliance cost and waiting time.
